Most gym shorts are polyester. We wanted something nice on the outside and cotton next to you, in shorts you'd actually want to put on in a hot room. We aren't claiming it does anything for your health. It's just nicer.

No. The waistband elastic includes rubber, the reflective film is polyester-based, and the pack is sealed in plastic film. A linen shell and a cotton liner against your skin is the accurate version. The planned fiber list is at the bottom of every page.

It can, especially undyed. That's one reason the cotton liner sits behind it.

Take the pack out, machine wash cold, hang dry. Wipe the pack clean. Don't wash it. Spot clean the wool sleeve.

Freeze it at home and carry it in the wool sleeve. That's what the sleeve is for. If your gym has a staff freezer and likes you, ask.

A bare pack takes in heat from the room as well as from you. Felt and film on the room side leave more of its cold for the side facing you. See it pulled apart.

They're shorts, so probably, but check your sauna's rules. Most clothing-required rooms ask for clean swimwear or gym clothes. A pair kept just for the sauna is what the sign was hoping for.

At your locker. It slides in from the top of the pocket, inside the liner. Please don't do it on the bench.

It's designed not to: a sealed pack inside a pocket inside a liner. Sit on a towel either way.

It's a fair option. It's also two garments, one of which has been to the gym already. These are one garment you keep just for the sauna. If you don't mind the layering, buy the boxer.

The pack sits behind fabric. Never put a frozen pack directly on bare skin. If you go numb, take it out.

Skip it if you've got reduced sensation, cold sensitivity or circulation problems. Take it out if the pack leaks. We'll measure the skin side of the pocket as part of the cold test and publish it.

As long as you like, which can be not very long. The pack isn't a reason to stay in longer and this isn't a contest. Heat isn't for everyone. Leave when you want to.

We make no claim that it does, and we haven't tested it. This is clothing. It doesn't treat, prevent or cure anything. If you're trying to conceive or worried about fertility, the usual advice is to talk to a doctor and consider skipping the sauna, so please do that.
